There are also famous regional dishes in Korea that represent the country!

They range from dishes to ingredients, offering great variety.

If you travel to these regions, be sure to fully enjoy the local flavor along with its unique cuisine!

Let's begin😎

Gabojeong owns three buildings that surround the entire intersection, showcasing its popularity as one of Suwon’s top three galbi (Korean BBQ ribs) restaurants, known for its signature wanggalbi. The size of the buildings alone speaks to its fame. When you order galbi in this traditionally designed restaurant, a variety of neatly presented side dishes immediately catch your eye! You can choose between U.S.-sourced beef or Korean hanwoo, and it’s recommended to try both for comparison. Another perk is that the staff grills the meat for you, so all you have to do is enjoy! Suwon's wanggalbi is larger and more tender than what you’ll find elsewhere, so be sure to give it a try!

Although snow crabs are caught from November to May, the best time to enjoy them is between January and March. At Wonjo Daege Hupori, you can savor a range of dishes, from sweet steamed snow crab to unique snow crab sashimi, and even snow crab ramen with a whole crab inside! Among the many restaurants, Namdo Yedam stands out for its neatly presented set meals served alongside the tteokgalbi. Since Damyang has long been known for its ideal environment for bamboo growth, the restaurant also offers juktongbap, a rice dish steamed in bamboo tubes with glutinous rice and grains. After finishing the meal, you can take the bamboo tube home as a keepsake! If you're looking to enjoy tteokgalbi, loved by all ages, and healthy juktongbap, Damyang is highly recommended!

While Busan's gukbap is traditionally served with the rice already in the soup, you can request the rice separately if you prefer.
