Just as the weather has cooled, interest in hiking is also heating up.

The Hanyang Fortress Night View Course allows you to enjoy Seoul’s nightscape while walking along the historic walls of Hanyang Fortress. Beautiful during the day, the route becomes even more romantic at night, letting you experience Seoul’s sparkling skyline along its charming landmarks. This course takes you through the tranquil Ihwa Village, where you can hunt for hidden murals, Naksan Park, famous for its romantic night views, and the DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza), a beloved cultural complex with unique architecture.



Notably, Naksan Park was featured in K-Pop Demon Hunters, where Lumi and Jinwoo met, attracting many visitors. You can also admire lesser-known yet captivating traditional gates like Hyehwamun and Gwanghuimun, the starting points of the course. Walking along the fortress walls, enjoy the long stretches of the walls illuminated by gentle lighting, taking in both the breathtaking night view and the rich history and culture of Seoul.



Course: Hansung University station Exit 5→ Hyehwamun → Ihwa Mural Village → Naksan Park → Heunginjimun Gate → Ogansumun Flood Gate → Gwanghuimun → DDP → Dongdaemun History and Culture Park station

Time: 5:30PM – 8:30PM




The Cheonggyesan Maebong Course takes you up Cheonggyesan, one of Seoul’s iconic mountains, offering sweeping views of the southern part of the city. The course begins at Wontegol Underpass, the mountain’s entrance, where a market often sells fresh local produce. From there, you’ll follow a stairway trail up to the summit. Maebawi Rock is a famous viewpoint on Cheonggyesan, providing a breathtaking panorama of Seoul.



The course offers a unique blend of urban and natural scenery and is also known as a beautiful spot for sunset and night views. After exploring Cheonggyesan, the trail descends to the BlackYak Base Camp at the mountain’s entrance. The Base Camp is a multifunctional cultural facility where visitors can relax before or after hiking, enjoying the lounge, photo zones, and exhibition spaces.



Course: Cheonggyesan station Exit 2 → Wontergol Underpass → Palgakjeong Rest Area → Heliport Rest Area → Dolmun Rock → Maebawi Rock → Maebong Peak → Black Yak Base Camp

Time: 1 – 5PM




The Bukhansan East-West Crossing is a special route on Bukhansan, Seoul’s highest mountain, where you can fully appreciate the wonders of nature within the city. The course passes the peaceful sounds of Sogwicheon Valley and climbs across the Bukhansan ridges, allowing you to rest near the historic Daedongmun Gate, built in 1711 for defense. The trail then follows Bukhancheon Valley, passing Taegosa and Beopyongsa Temples, and continues to the BlackYak Base Camp, offering a unique experience of the mountain’s ridges, fortress walls, and valleys.



With repeated ascents and descents throughout, this course is recommended for intermediate to advanced hikers seeking a challenging adventure, and safety should be prioritized. At the endpoint, BlackYak Base Camp, participants can receive a completion certificate. Enjoy both culture and relaxation here before and after your hike, celebrating the accomplishment of completing the course.
