Have you watched <All Of Us Are Dead> on Netflix? This drama depicts the struggles of students trying to survive at a school where a zombie virus has broken out. The school setting, Hyosan High School, is actually Seonghui Girls’ High School in Andong! When you visit, make sure to take a photo of the filming location information board near the entrance. Because it is an actual school, it is difficult to visit the inside, but scenes of All Of Us Are Dead can be seen throughout the exterior facilities. If you visit wearing a school uniform, you will be able to leave an even more special photos. Don't forget to also visit the Nakdong River in front of Seonghui Girls’ High School to enjoy the stunning scenery of Andong!

Hahoe Folk Village, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a source of pride for Andong. It is renowned for hosting the beautiful Seonyu Julbul Nori, featured in the final scene of the drama <Revenant>. Julbul Nori is a traditional Korean fireworks display, where small fireworks burst like rain over the Nakdong River is very beautiful. With fireworks pouring softly like stars in the night sky, the fireworks floating on the river give off a mysterious appearance as the lights are reflected in the river water. And it is a collection of unique fireworks that can only be seen in Andong, including the Nakhwa, a large fireball falling from the top of a cliff!

Woryeonggyo Bridge, the bridge leading to Woryeongjeong located in the middle of the lake, is shaped like a pair of mituri, old Korean shoes, made from a wife's hair for her husband who left before her. Climb this bridge filled with the desire to continue their beautiful and sorrowful love forever and feel the moonlight of sublime love! It would also be nice to enjoy a moon boat or Hwangpo sailboat at Woryeonggyo Bridge, which has a beautiful night view. The nearby cafe Woryeongdang has the appearance of a hanok with a full moon visible at any time. There are many unique and delicious drinks and desserts, such as hemp seed latte and mugwort rice cake shake, so take a break while looking at Woryeonggyo Bridge!

This is Gunja Village, where various dramas and movies were filmed, including <Revenant>, <The Face Reader>, and <Mr. Sunshine>. In particular, an important place that signals the start of drama, Revenant, is located right here. ‘Hwawonjae’ in the drama is Hujodang in Gunja Village, and you can see that it is a familiar scene, from the stone steps to Hujodang’s sarangchae! Additionally, important scenes from the movie <The Face Reader> were also filmed here, portraying Kim Jong-seo’s mansion, including the scene where Kim Jong-seo is killed by Prince Suyang. The image of Eugene Choi and Ae-shin take their hands on the bridge leading to Manhyujeong Pavilion comes to mind. Many people visit to relive this famous scene. You may feel familiar with Manhyujeong Pavilion, as it has also appeared as the location of the kiln site of Hwang Eunsan. As an independence activist from Andong became the motif of Mr. Sunshine, so major filming locations such as Manhyujeong Pavilion, Ae-shin's house, and the river where the main character sails on a boat are located in Andong. Heotjesatbap is Andong's unique bibimbap, characterized by being seasoned with soy sauce and sesame salt instead of red pepper paste. Made by mixing various stir-fried vegetables with soy sauce and rice, heotjesatbap is beloved as a healthy dish with a mild flavor that avoids strong seasonings. It is commonly accompanied by soup made with meat and radish and pancakes.

There are a variety of farmer’s restaurants in Andong. Among them, Andong Hwaryeon stands out as a representative Andong farmer’s restaurant with self-grown lotus flowers in front of the establishment. This restaurant utilizes crops harvested directly. As a vegan restaurant, Andong Hwaryeon does not use chemical seasonings. It is known for its commitment to using natural ingredients to create visually appealing and delicious food.

Andong Jjimdak, which is beloved to the extent that it can be considered the signature dish of Andong, is another version of the traditional beef and pork rib jjim. It is prepared by simmering chicken, vegetables, and glass noodles in soy sauce. You can find numerous Jjimdak restaurants in the Jjimdak Alley within Andong Old Market, so we highly recommend trying them out!

Do you know the top three bakeries in Korea? One of them is Mammoth Bakery in Andong! Mammoth Bakery, located in Andong Old Market, offers a variety of breads, including cream cheese bread and yuzu pound cake.
