The Hangang River Festival SummerĀ offers a refreshing day to play, relax, and heal while enjoying cool riverside breezes with ā€œHan River-styleā€ programs. This year, under the theme ā€œAffordable, Refreshing, and Passionate Summer Escape,ā€ 19 programs will take place across the Han River waters and 10 Han River parks. The programs are divided into three parts: Challenge, Culture, and Rest. The ChallengeĀ activities includeĀ a water race competition with boatsĀ made by participants to celebrate the 80th anniversary of liberation, thrilling balance contests on floating logs, as well as paddleboarding and kayaking. The CultureĀ section features a Summer Music Picnic, Han River Open-Air Cinema, and a silent DJ partyĀ where participants wear wireless headphones for an immersive experience. For Rest, visitors can enjoy yacht tours, rooftop yoga classes, and gourmet dining experiencesĀ on the Han River, offering a perfect day by the water.

The Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival 2025 is Incheon’s signature music event, where you can soak in the energy of summer and enjoy roaring crowds and electrifying performances. Over the course of three days, around 60 domestic and international artists take the stage, creating a rich and diverse lineup. With three stages and scheduled performances throughout the day, there’s always music to catch—and when you need a break, the F&B zone offers food to refuel. Since it’s an outdoor festival held in the summer heat, you’ll also find cooling buses and medical cool zones for rest and recovery. Be sure to pack a mat and personal cooling items to stay comfortable. This year’s lineup features legendary British band Pulp, UK rapper Little Simz on her first visit to Korea, and Japanese artists Tempalay and Omoinotake, along with beloved Korean bands like Jaurim and Crying Nut, covering a wide range of genres and generations—building major anticipation!

The Andong Cultural Heritage Night Trip, called ā€œWolyeong Night Tour,ā€ is a festival that highlights the historical value of Andong’s cultural heritage and allows everyone to enjoy it together. Based on the theme of stories about Andong’s national heritage told by moonlight, the festival offers an '8 nights program' covering entertainment, food, and accommodation. This 8 nights program includes traditional performances using Andong’s cultural heritage, participation programs with local artists, content using lighting and exhibitions, and interactive experiences. Held around Wolyeonggyo Bridge, the festival lets you feel the living history of Andong through visits to national heritage sites like Imcheonggak, Beopheungsa Seven-story Stone Pagoda, and Andong Ice Storage. Join the national heritage explanation tour and take a walk around Wolyeonggyo Bridge to learn about these cultural assets. Participating in traditional intangible cultural heritage games like the Chajeonnori(Tea-cup game) and Noddari Balbgi(stepping on the brass bridge) is also very popular!

The Pyeongchang Summer-Hunter Festival is a festival held in a park with cool spring water of around 10 degrees Celsius flowing all year round, offering various programs to enjoy. You can cool off the summer heat with programs where you spray and get sprayed with water. The main programs include the daytime and nighttime water fights called ā€œTtamtti Ghost Hunting Water Warā€ and ā€œNight Water War.ā€ Participants not only spray water at each other but also feel refreshed by water jets pouring from all directions. If you get tired from playing in the water too much, you can rest at the cool spring footbath or the picnic area with mats. If you get hungry after playing in the water, you can enjoy various Pyeongchang local foods prepared here. Fill your body and mind with diverse foods such as tadpole noodles, buckwheat pancakes, cold noodles, and Pyeongchang corn.

The Tongyeong Hansan Battle Festival is a traditional local festival in Tongyeong commemorating the Battle of Hansan, one of Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s most famous victories during the Imjin War. Known as one of the world’s four great naval battles, the Battle of Hansan took place in 1592 off Hansando Island near Tongyeong. It showcased Admiral Yi’s brilliant ā€œCrane Wingā€ naval tactics. The Naval Headquarters, where he trained his fleet, is also located in Tongyeong, highlighting the close connection between the city and Admiral Yi. The festival takes place around the lunar calendar date of July 7, the anniversary of the battle’s victory, and features traditional cultural events and diverse programs throughout Tongyeong. Visitors can experience hands-on activities related to the battle and Admiral Yi, including a reenactment procession of the Samdo Naval Commander’s parade and a Turtle Ship rowing competition.

The Jeonju International Sori Festival is a global celebration of performing arts centered on pansori, traditional arts, and world music. It is not only a major event in Jeonju but also one of Korea’s representative traditional music festivals, focusing mainly on traditional and world music genres. The festival serves as a platform for cultural exchange and dialogue by showcasing Korea’s sounds alongside traditional and contemporary music trends from around the world. This year, artists from Spain, Canada, Brazil, Japan, and Poland will join to present new music. Under the theme ā€œEchoes from the Homeland,ā€ the festival offers a variety of performances from master and young pansori singers as well as folk songs. Enjoy an exciting festival featuring innovative musical blends from acts like Leenalchi, Seodo Band, and Song Sohee, known for combining tradition with modernity.
