Trendy Shops and Eateries in Local Markets!

Youth Malls are projects that help young entrepreneurs run unique shops within traditional markets.

Through this project, tradition meets youth, bringing even more vibrancy to the markets!

Explore the youth malls that have breathed new charm into Korea's traditional markets!

Let's begin😎

Jeonju Nambu Market Youth Mall has become a must-visit spot where local young entrepreneurs with unique personalities gather. At the entrance, a banner reads, “Earn just enough and live really well,” a slogan that reflects the youthful spirit and identity of the mall. The market is also close to Jeonju Film Street, making it a perfect stop especially during the Jeonju International Film Festival.
The night market, held every Friday and Saturday, is especially popular, attracting many visitors who come to enjoy Jeonju’s unique street snacks and artworks. Although the youth mall, once the main source of vibrancy for the market, is no longer as bustling as before, it has instead become a peaceful retreat for Jeonju locals. Especially noteworthy is Baeksu’s Chan, a small local fusion restaurant based on Korean cuisine, always bustling with regulars. With its cozy atmosphere and seasonal menus, it’s a truly charming spot!

Located indoors with full heating and cooling, the mall provides a comfortable space to explore regardless of the weather.
Not only can you enjoy the youth mall’s distinctive foods and desserts, but you can also bring in dishes from Dongmun Market and enjoy them in its cozy lounge. In addition to the lounge, the mall is equipped with amenities like nursing rooms, massage chairs, and an arcade. As Jeju Dongmun Market is the largest and one of the most historic markets in Jeju—and a must-visit stop for travelers—make sure to visit the youth mall as well to experience its unique and vibrant charm!

Located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Samcheok Jungang Market in Gangwondo, this multi-cultural space was created to support young entrepreneurs and revitalize the traditional market.
On the 2nd floor, visitors can enjoy light meals and sweet desserts, while the 3rd floor features beauty shops, workshops, and cultural spaces. One highlight is Owa Market, an unmanned store where you can purchase Samcheok specialties and souvenirs infused with the unique ideas of local youth.
