Bukchon Hanok Village is the site of high-end residential houses where royalty and noblemen have lived since ancient times, and now remains as a Hanok preservation district. Although they used new materials that are different from existing Hanoks, such as installing a glass door in the main hall, you can see that they created a new beauty of Hanok without losing the traditional essence. It's truly picturesque to take photos on this street while dressed in various hanbok. Additionally, depending on the time of year, traditional Korean festivals are held, so make sure to enjoy them! Since the Hanok Village is actually inhabited by local residents, it's important to be mindful of your noise levels while exploring the area. After a pilot operation starting in October 2024, access to some areas will be restricted from 5 PM to 10 AM, so please check signs carefully when entering during these times!
