Attention to those traveling Korea by public transportation!

Have you been staying only in Seoul because getting around felt inconvenient?

Try visiting nearby destinations just 1 to 2 hours from Seoul!

You can even make it a quick day trip, making it the perfect travel course.

Let's begin😎

Hyowon Park is a beloved spot not only for Suwon citizens but also for families and couples, thanks to its scenic walking trails and exotic atmosphere. The name 'Hyowon' comes from the Korean word 'Hyo', meaning respect and devotion to parents, and the park features monuments symbolizing this virtue. There's also a “Jeju Street” representing Suwon’s sister city Jeju, as well as a traditional top-spinning game area and plenty of fun experiences.
The lawn area is even used for free wedding ceremonies, and the park is filled with energy from youths enjoying various sports facilities. Be sure to visit Wolhwawon, the park’s Chinese garden, designed in the style of late Ming to early Qing dynasty private gardens, blended with modern landscaping. Surrounded by green plants, a serene lake, and traditional Chinese architecture, it offers a peaceful and picturesque retreat!

Herb Island, themed around the Mediterranean—the original home of herbs—offers beautifully arranged sights and a variety of attractions. It also operates the world’s first herb plant museum, making it a place where you can enjoy everything about herbs. The site hosts events and festivals throughout all four seasons, both day and night.
Starting in September, the Pink Muhly Festival takes place, during which the entire area, including the pink muhly fields, is beautifully dyed in pink hues. The unique pink sand dunes, blending pink sand and pink trees, are famous and make for a must-visit spot in autumn, complete with sand sledding and distinctive photo zones. In winter, a nighttime light festival is held, and in May and June, the Lavender&Daisy Festival features vast flower fields themed around lavender and daisies, along with various flower-related experiences!

Water Garden is a riverside park created as part of the Hangang River Restoration Project, offering a peaceful space to reconnect with nature and refresh both body and mind. From the moment you arrive, you’ll find well-paved walking paths lined with trees and small wooded areas perfect for a relaxing stroll. Spread out a picnic mat on the lawn and enjoy the calm river views.
Be sure to cross the iconic Baetnadeul-i Bridge, which leads to a riverside trail along the Bukhangang River. The scenery on both sides is stunning, especially in spring and autumn when poppies and cosmos bloom in vibrant colors. In addition to the walking paths, there are bike lanes for those who want a refreshing ride. The charm of the garden changes depending on whether you’re before or after the bridge, so take your time to explore and find your favorite spot.
