Why not visit when you need a brief escape from your busy everyday life?

Let's begin😎

Gilsangsa Temple in Seongbuk-gu, whose name means “auspicious and fortunate temple,” was originally a high-end entertainment house called Daewongak but transformed into a Buddhist temple, carrying with it a unique story. This history allows visitors to enjoy landscapes rarely seen in traditional temples, and it has become a beloved open space where anyone can feel at ease, regardless of being a Buddhist.
To fully savor the temple’s atmosphere, visit Daranidawon Tea House, located on the second floor of the large building near the entrance. With its neat and cozy ambiance, it offers a calming experience. The terrace provides a scenic view combining the pond, temple buildings, and surrounding nature. A variety of books, including Buddhist texts, are available, making it a perfect place to spend time reading and relaxing.

Jeondong Catholic Cathedral, the first Romanesque building in Jeolla Province and one of the largest and oldest Western-style modern buildings, is meaningful just by its architecture. Located at the entrance of Jeonju Hanok Village, it can be easily visited along with the village and is well known as a photo spot thanks to its classic atmosphere. Completed in 1914, the cathedral has stood for over a century, offering a serene sense of history. The striking contrast between the red brick cathedral rising among mostly single-story hanok buildings creates a uniquely exotic feel.
Inside, the bustle outside fades away, allowing visitors a moment of reflection. Note that interior visits are restricted during Mass, and revealing attire is not permitted. Given its religious and historical significance, it is important to visit with respect.
