Let's enjoy the sunset and night view from Bugak Sky Palgakjeong, renowned for its stunning vistas! This hike takes you through Bugaksan, located in the heart of Seoul, where you can immerse yourself in nature while still being in the city. We'll begin our trek from the Bugaksan branch of the Seoul Hiking Tourism Center, passing by Cheongundae before ascending to Palgakjeong to witness the sunset. On the way to Palgakjeong, there is a charming walking path known as Samcheong Park, as well as Malbawi, which is famous for its breathtaking views—so be sure to take a moment to explore! You can begin November feeling refreshed, enjoying a pleasantly cool breeze and the sight of the fading autumn landscape!



Course: Seoul Hiking Tourism Center Bugaksan → Daetongmun Gate → Cheongundae → Baegakmaru → Cheongundae

→ Gokjang → Bugak Palgakjeong → Sukjeongmun Information Center → Malbawi → Samcheong Park




Did you know that Bugaksan Mountain has been cherished by Korean kings and presidents since ancient times? Gyeongbokgung Palace, where the king resided during the Joseon Dynasty, and Cheongwadae, which served as the president's office and official residence, are both situated near Bugaksan Mountain. First, take a moment to explore Chunchugwan, which functioned as the press center for Cheongwadae. Afterward, ascend the Bugaksan Mountain trail located behind Cheongwadae and make your way to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Here, you can learn about the history of Gyeongbokgung Palace through an English cultural commentary! Let's embrace the energy of the kings and presidents to conclude this year with vitality!

→ Gwanghwamun Gate → Gyeongbokgung Palace




Experience the tea ceremony at Hohyeondang, a traditional Korean school located in Namsan, and discover the diverse beauty of the area. Engage your body and mind in a calming tea ceremony at Hohyeondang, which translates to  house favored by virtuous people. learn about tea ceremony etiquette while enjoying the art of tea drinking. Afterward, we'll proceed to Namsan to explore the Namsan Outdoor Botanical Garden, where you can admire a variety of forests and plants. In addition to the diverse flora, keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife as you stroll through the garden. Finally, at N Seoul Tower, you'll witness the breathtaking sunset over Seoul, accompanied by the iconic love locks, before descending.



Course: Hoehyeon station exit 4 → Hohyeondang → Namsan dullegil trail → Myeongdong station




Singing bowl meditation involves the use of a singing bowl that produces sounds and vibrations when tapped or rubbed, which aid in meditation and healing . This course takes place at Shimtaeksa Temple, a serene location at the foot of Baekryeonsan Mountain, allowing you to set aside your stress and engage in deeper meditation. After the session, we'll continue to embrace the tranquility of meditation by walking along a peaceful forest path lined with pine and oak trees, fostering a calm mind. From Eunpyeongjeong, a pavilion situated at the summit of Baekryeonsan Mountain, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Seoul harmoniously blending with the surrounding mountains. We'll conclude this healing journey with a casual conversation at a café overlooking a magnificent Hongje artificial waterfall.



Course: Nokbeon station exit 3 → Shimtaeksa temple → Eunpyeong scenic view point → Chologsupgil

→ Hongjecheon Artificial Falls




Inwangsan Mountain, renowned for its stunning scenery since ancient times, is also regarded as an excellent hiking destination within the city. As you ascend Inwangsan, you’ll encounter a golden tiger statue, which was erected due to the belief that many tigers once inhabited the area. The mountain is composed of granite, resulting in numerous rocks with unusual shapes, some of which have intriguing names. Let’s make our way to the peak, where you can admire the hat-shaped Satgat Rock after passing the tiger-shaped Beombawi Rock! Although the mountain is not particularly high, you can enjoy the expansive views as you hike, before descending towards the Suseongdong Valley. On dry days, the area tends to be relatively dry, yet it remains pleasantly cool.



Course: Gyeongbokgung station exit 1 → Sajikdan Altar → Inwangsan Tiger Statue → Beombawi Rock → Inwangsan Summit

→ Suseongdong Valley → Gyeongbokgung station




There is also a course to climb Achasan Mountain, which is popular for its beautiful sunsets and sights, but is not too difficult. Goguryeojeong on Achasan is a pavilion built in the architectural style of Goguryeo, one of the ancient kingdoms of Korea. You can take a break here, built in one of the oldest architectural styles in Korea! Be sure to check out the Haemaji Square near Goguryeojeong, which is also a famous spot to watch the sunrise in Seoul. There is a fortress called Boru on the top of Achasan to block or monitor enemies, and you can finish the course by taking pictures at Boru 3, which is the largest of these and offers a view of the Han River and the city!
