The Seoul Hiking Week is a three-week special festival where you can experience Seoul’s unique outdoor activities firsthand. Don’t miss the city’s special hiking tourism experience this autumn, the perfect season for hiking! The three Seoul Hiking Tourism Centers located at Bukhansan, Gwanaksan, and Bugaksan will each host a week-long program over three weeks, offering experiences that reflect the unique character of each mountain. Professional guides and assistant guides ensure both safety and enjoyment throughout the programs.



In addition to the programs, each center will host a variety of events throughout the period. Limited to 500 participants, the Seoul Three Major Mountains Challenge lets you visit the summits of each mountain and collect three stamps. If you’re interested, make sure to visit quickly! Spend a special time at the Seoul Hiking Week, where nature and people come together. Under the clear autumn sky, the beautiful scenery offered by Seoul’s mountains awaits you!

This Seoul Hiking Week offers a variety of programs for everyone, from hiking beginners to seasoned adventurers. Experience Seoul’s nature up close and enjoy a unique moment of healing in the heart of the city. Choose from challenging activities, family-friendly programs to create lasting memories or serene traditional experiences that suit your interests. On the weekend of the first week, Bukhansan Sunrise Hike is scheduled for the 8th, and a trail running program hosted by Black Yak will take place on the 9th. Don’t miss it if you want to join this invigorating run through the mountain breeze! All programs include English explanations, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in Seoul’s diverse outdoor culture.

If you want to enjoy the activities, visit the Bukhansan Center during the first week, from November 4 to 7. At Bukhansan, one of Seoul’s iconic mountains, you can experience the essence of hiking tourism through a variety of outdoor programs. Take on the Baegundae climbing course, reaching the highest peak of Bukhansan, and feel the most thrilling moments of Seoul hiking. Try sports climbing with professional equipment for a unique challenge, or join the trail running program to build stamina and enjoy the exhilarating feeling of running through the mountains. At the Bukhansan Center, with its expansive views and thrilling activities, immerse yourself fully in the autumn beauty of Seoul.

During the second week, on November 10, 11, 13, and 14, the Gwanaksan Center offers programs that the whole family can enjoy. Gwanaksan offers outdoor programs suitable for all ages. On the barrier-free forest trails, participants of all generations can walk together and fully appreciate the beauty of nature. Adventure forest experiences allow families to bond across generations and create special memories. Additionally, programs are available for visitors with their pets, offering a new type of inclusive outdoor experience. Under the warm autumn sun, make unforgettable memories with your family surrounded by the natural beauty of Gwanaksan.

If you want to fully enjoy the mysterious harmony of the city and nature centered on Korea’s traditional culture, visit the Bugaksan Center during the third week, on November 17, 19, 20, and 21. Experience a unique hike on Bugaksan, which surrounds the heart of Seoul, where history and nature intertwine. Walk along the Hanyang Fortress exploration course to feel Seoul’s long history and cultural value firsthand, and experience traditional Korean temple cuisine through an immersive sensory program. You can also join guided tours linked to Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces to appreciate the traditional beauty of the palaces while exploring Seoul’s identity. Stroll along the serene forest trails of Bugaksan and discover another side of Seoul right in the heart of the city.
