Yeongjongdo is an island in Incheon connected to the mainland by the Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge.

This island is home to Incheon Airport’s Terminal 2, so you’ve probably visited it at least once.

However, beyond the airport, the island offers seafood, coastal cliffs, and fun activities to enjoy.

Follow this course and enjoy a fun day on Yeongjongdo Island!

Let's begin😎

To enter Yeongjongdo Island, you can either use Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge or take a ferry. If you use the ferry from the Wolmido Ferry Terminal, it takes about 15 minutes to reach Yeongjongdo Island. You can leisurely enjoy the view of the West Sea, and since cars can also be carried, the ferry is still widely used even after the Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge was completed. Wolmido, where the ferry terminal is located, not only has a variety of food but also plenty of things to do. There are various amusement rides such as the Disco Pang Pang and the thrilling Viking ride. With attractions like the Ferris wheel and children's rides, small businesses gather in the area, making it fun for everyone. You can also take the Wolmi Sea Train, a tourist monorail, which offers a panoramic view of the West Sea and the Incheondaegyo Bridge while circling Wolmido. The sunset viewed from the Wolmido lighthouse is beautiful, so it’s highly recommended to visit!

After enjoying a leisurely ferry ride, you'll disembark at the Gueup Ferry Terminal on Yeongjongdo Island. While a small port, Gueup Ferry Terminal offers a peaceful seaside walk and a variety of food options. Although there are many restaurants in the area, one dish you shouldn’t miss is the salt bread from "Jayeondo Salt Bread." The name "Jayeondo" comes from Yeongjong Island's old name, and this location is the original store of the chain, which has branches nationwide. It’s especially popular, with people lining up for fresh bread when it comes out of the oven. Additionally, at Yeongjongjin Park, located near the ferry terminal, you can experience Yeongjongdo Island's nature, history, and culture while enjoying the sea view. The walking path along the beach, lined with castle walls, adds a romantic touch to the experience. If you walk up the hill along the fortress trail, you’ll find Taepyeongru, where you can relax while enjoying a refreshing sea view!
