The Goesan Red Flavor Festival is themed around the color red, featuring chili peppers—Goesan’s signature crop—and vibrant spring flowers. Take part in a variety of red-themed events and enjoy the spicy charm of Goesan! In line with the theme, red flowers like poppies, zinnias, and tulips beautifully decorate the festival grounds. Enjoy a spring stroll through red flower paths and discover photo spots along the way. The festival also highlights the spicy “red flavor,” with around 30 food trucks and booths offering a range of fiery red dishes. Wearing red clothing, shoes, or hats may even earn you special discounts—so consider dressing for the Red Flavor Festival!

Have you heard of "mapbusim"? It means pride in being able to handle spicy food. Show off your spice tolerance at the Mapbusim Food Fighter Contest, where you can compete in spicy food challenges! Plus, enjoy a variety of programs like the Goesan Red Market, walking challenge, tea experiences with red-hued teas, and lively performances that complete the festival vibe.

At Sarangsan Hanok Village, you'll experience traditional Korean liquor. Learn about the history and types of traditional liquor in a classic hanok village setting. For dinner, indulge in the famous Just chicken and beer at the festival's Chicken and Beer Festival, featuring the well-known Goesan market celebrity, Just(Geunyang) Chicken. Afterward, enjoy the festivities and lively stage performances for a fun-filled evening!
On the second day, enjoy the festival once again, participate in main events like the Mapbusim Food Fighter Contest, and then head to Oga Village. There, you’ll experience making kimchi and learn about the important fermentation process. After preparing both kimchi and fresh kimchi(geotjeori), you can pack your own homemade kimchi. Enjoy a delicious traditional Korean meal with your freshly made kimchi afterward!
